Default Swimming with dolphins

Does anyone know an operator that conducts dolphin swimming on the big island?

I have always wanted to do this, but I need a reputable company to go with.

Thanks!

Hey! I have done this and it was cool. I unfortunately cannot remember the name of the company. This is the age of the Web, though. Do a Web search and try to find some reviews of companies. As always, beware of prices that are too low. There may be hidden costs. It should be around 150USD.

i did a web search and one place was less than a hundred. Does that sound kind of fishy? or does it just mean there are no frills like no lunches or just bagged lunches?

That sounds right to me.
I cant imagine any hidden costs, not sure what you are talking about there.

Most places will cost under $100 for 2-3hour boat ride and dolphin swim (providing weather permits)

I paid 125 and this was two years ago. It was an all-day thing with three other people, though. I have heard of people paying $75, thinking that was it, and then they get hit with rental fees later. I was surprised, because that sort of stuff usually doesn't happen in Hawaii - what you pay is the price and they're up front about it. It's not like going to Thailand. Yeesh - now that's a "hidden costs" place.

Um, anyway....If anybody can recommend a reputable "swim with dolphins" company that actually does charge less than a hundred and has given you some good experiences, please share with the rest of us. We would be glad to know.

Just do a quick search, you will companies everywhere.
Be willing to pay more for safety though, the more expensive ones give you wetsuits and snorkels.
